Trump unhinged. @oliver willis (twitter) i just want to note that they attacked obama with racism, smeared his wife and kids, demanded his birth certificate, questioned his faith, and not once did obama stoop to the level of screaming expletives and accusing the opposition of treason. not once. not a single day in 8 yrs similarly they have accused hillary of literal serial murder, questioned her faith, said she committed multiple crimes -- and never, ever this kind of public meltdown. ever. Guess the republicans respected the office if not the office holder so they never charged them. Speaking of Holder...

"Our movement is about replacing a failed and corrupt political establishment with a new government controlled by you, the American People. There is nothing the political establishment will not do, and no lie they will not tell, to hold on to their prestige and power at your expense. The Washington establishment, and the financial and media corporations that fund it, exists for only one reason: to protect and enrich itself." - Donald Trump, October 24, 2016
Boy, did he call that!

The North Koreans have test-fired a medium-range ballistic missile that can be launched from a submarine.
What do you want to bet Trump will stir up a crisis with North Korea just to divert attention from the impeachment stuff?
The perverse thing is, maybe we need to confront them on this. But maybe we don't. I sure as hell don't trust Trump's judgment on the question.
Or, maybe he'll tell Kim Jong Un he doesn't care about the nukes as long as he looks into Joe Biden.

If the D's pick Joe Biden and Joe Biden picks Amy Klobuchar as his VP, as I have strongly suggested to him via some concentrated brain waves I directed his way, he would beat Pence. (he needs a strong female that doesn't appear ready to keel over. Amy is perfect match in all regards and I'm calling it.
If the D's pick Elizabeth Warren (which is likely once Sanders throws his support her way), Pence will win. If he soft pedals his abortion stance it won't be close. (he doesn't have to back track, just act somewhat resigned to it in some form and quickly move on to the economy or something).

Biden and Klobuchar would make a dandy team to go up against either Trump or Pence, assuming the Democratic party doesn't lose its mind and nominate Warren.
I think a realistic scenario, though, would be the Nixon precedent. If Trump faces defeat at the polls or by a Senate expulsion vote, he steps down before the election or the vote, in return for a pardon from President Pence. End of the Trump era, and he re-positions Mar a Lago as a bourgeois bed and breakfast and goes on to make a fortune, which I strongly suspect is all he wanted out of this presidential gig from the start.
There's been speculation that Trump would barricade himself in the Oval Office rather than accept defeat at the polls or in the Senate, but I think if his re-election chances, or Senate future, looked dire, he would go for a pardon. Especially if he finds out they don't serve Burger Kings in jail.

I am just a couple of years older than Trump. I am on no prescription meds, exercise regularly, don't wear a suit and have a complicated hairdo, and it still takes me from when I get up around 7:30, to probably 9:30 just to get going. Every afternoon about 2 I feel like I got hit with a safe and have to take a little nap, if I think of something I need to do I forget it within seconds if I don't do it or write it down. If I don't get 8 hrs of sleep I don't do too well the next day.
My question is with staying up late tweeting and watching Fox, having to get cleaned up each morning, eat, do his hair, get a suit on, and tweet after watching the news on Fox again how does he get anything done or have any in depth understanding of issues? He must be in a daze almost all the time. I doubt that at night he has much of any recollection what he actually did that day.
I don't think the presidency is a job for old men. I couldn't do it and do it right.

Especially if he finds out they don't serve Burger Kings in jail. Trying to predict what Trump is going to do seems like a zero-sum game. His reputation is that of a fighter to the bitter end so it wouldn't surprise me that if he came out on the short end of the stick the Capitol police would have to drag him out of the Oval Office. That's not a spectacle I'd like to see the country have to go through but I don't see Trump being gracious in defeat. My scenario is that Trump gets impeached by the house, the senate fails to convict, and Trump goes on to run again for a second term. Or, in the unlikely event that the senate did vote to convict, Trump still runs for a second term. My assessment of the election is much the same as some others on this forum, I don't believe Warren can beat Trump. I have no opinion on a Biden/Klobuchar ticket although I can't think of a combination I'd prefer. I would have reservations about voting for Biden but I also have reservations about voting for Trump. Looks I'll need to close my eyes, throw a dart, and hope for the best when I get in the voting booth . . . again.

He's actually Andy Kaufman, isn't he?
When a reporter asked Trump what he wanted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to do about the Bidens during the infamous phone call in July, Trump bluntly admitted that he wanted Ukraine to investigate his political rival.
“Well I would think if they were honest about it, they would start a major investigation into the Bidens,” he said. “It’s a very simple answer.”
“Likewise, China should start an investigation into the Bidens,” Trump added. “Because what happened in China is just about as bad as what happened with Ukraine.”
It was another stunning example of the President of the United States outright calling on a foreign power to inflict political damage on his rival. Trump’s efforts to strong-arm the Ukrainian president to drum up phony allegations against Biden have formed the basis for House Democrats’ impeachment inquiry.
Besides baseless conspiracy theories about Biden and Ukraine, Trump and his allies have also repeatedly claimed that Hunter Biden made shady deals in China.
During a Fox News interview in May, Trump demanded an investigation into Biden’s alleged ties to China. However, he didn’t push China itself to conduct the potential investigation at the time.
