I’m still around here. Playing on the Yamaha piano. Finally it works - The height is 28 1/2” and the bench and the pedal. A little Bach, Chopin, Beethoven and more soon. It’s almost Sunday.

Tomorrow is Last Chance Ticket day.

Good morning.
"Ditto" just about covers it, sunny and hot again today. I swept the pool before it gets too hot to work outside.
Had most of yesterday off and actually played guitar for awhile. I'm way out of practice on the jazz stuff but almost played some of it. It's funny how you can get through one section but when doing the same section again the fingers forget where to go. Still don't have the fine control over them that's needed. I haven't given up.
A couple of Saturdays ago the neighbor had a graduation party for his daughter which was supposed to get over by 10pm and I slept through it but apparently they turned up the music at midnight, woke Mary up and pissed her off so bad she got dressed and went over to complain. She got in a fight, words only, with the neighbor and they weren't on speaking terms anymore. He finally came over last night and apologized to her so I think we're OK now. It's been tense.
Have a safe Sunday.

Lots of rain just moved through. Looked like Iowa rain to me. Sky is clearing so it could be a nice day. We will see. Enjoy what you can and ignore the rest.

Good morning. This is predicted to be the hottest day of our current heat wave. I took a walk. That may end today's outside activities. But all's well and everyone's healthy. Enjoy your day.

If this was a normal year I would be up early glued to the telly watching live coverage of the Tour de France for three hours.
Now I have to figure out some other way to waste a morning.

Morning. I got nothing. And that’s the day. Oh wait. Going to grill bacon wrapped shrimp for dinner. Now that’s some excitement right there.

Just back from Great Clips and my first haircut since the Great Lockdown, OMG I feel like I lost 10 pounds! Another beautiful day, think I'll drive somewhere and go for a walk.

Yesterday was bird day at the Bauman ranch. Morning coffee was serenaded by a loud cardinal perched in the spruce tree over the porch. Soon the bobwhite made a return engagement on the front maple and stayed in the neighborhood literally all day (by afternoon he was in the Chinese Elm across the street in the nature preserve). Bob-WHITE! At lunchtime the hummingbird that's been buzzing our patio hostas showed up again while a dazed robin fledgling rested on the concrete below regaining her senses after hitting the back porch window (all's well that ends well. She eventually flew away). Then last evening, just after the mourning dove's ocarina evensong, the crows blew taps. Crows aren't particularly good buglers. They're much better conversationalists. RAVIN' by Edgar Plastic Kaolin Once upon a midnight dreary Eyes rimmed red, bloodshot, and bleary Again my kiln is in no hurry Waiting on the cones once more So far I’ve barely bent cone 4 Only this and nothing more Nodding off just kills my neck it Dawns on me I ought to check it Pull the peep hole from the back it Shows a slightly bent cone four Still a slightly bent cone four Only this and nothing more Maybe I’ll adjust the damper This kiln's causing me to hanker For a kiln I need not pamper Computer-controlled so to ensure I’d never again be stuck at four Just cone four and nothing more I’ll admit, I’m mildly pissed off A month’s production will be kissed off If this rocket never lifts off But stays right here, stuck at cone four Only four, and nothing more It’s no wonder I stay poor

Good morning. Splitting wood for hours yesterday has emptied the tank. Settling into a pleasant valley Sunday.
Cheers

I like those pots. Simple, elegant, not all cluttered up with stuff. You got a winner, John!

Good morning. My girls return home sometime today so I'll have to pick up a bit around here and do dishes. After a week of just me, the cats and the fish that won't die it will seem rather loud and busy in the house. If you want raffle tickets let me know before 10pm CT, 11pm ET, 8pm PT that's my bedtime. I don't know what time that is in Arizona, Doug lived there and and screwed it all up. Pine Island 88F. EDIT: Bill brought me ribs and beer yesterday, love home delivery, ribs were fabulous and I still have enough for lunch. Just need to heat them up with a bit of Sweet Baby Ray's sauce on the side. Thanks Bill!

Oh, man, I guess my walk will have to come later, as I am just back from brunch on the patio at Holman's Table, hard by the runway at St. Paul Downtown Airport. What a fine meal, great Bloody Mary, excellent B&G coffee and today's Benedict, which included poached eggs and English muffin, of course, but enhanced by roasted skinny asparagus tips, shoulder bacon, a Hollandaise with a little BBQ kick to it and all topped with crabmeat and accompanied by a really nice salad of fresh greens, etc. Witnessed a great landing by a Falcon bizjet, too!
Marty, hate me for not inviting you along, but it was a sperm of the moment deal, and I indeed made it back home in time for the second open-wheel race of my morning, from Elkhart Lake -- the first one was in Austria!

LOL! "Sperm" of the moment deal? Hmmmmm.
