Good morning. There's still a nip in the air when I go outside with my first cup of coffee. Today's adventure will be buying groceries. My wife will have to drive me but we agreed it was better for me to buy the supplies for the dinners I'll be making. Keep on the sunny side. Wordle 676 4/6* ⬜⬜⬜🟩🟨 ⬜🟩⬜🟩⬜ 🟩🟩⬜🟩⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩

Thirty-one degrees, the chubster kid walking to the school bus corner went with long pants and a sweatshirt today, no ballcap. Time to peel me a Cara Cara orange.

Good morning, all.
We have a couple of stormy days on the way.
Just 3 more days of classes at the University!

Morning. Today is the inaugural first day of wearing shorts for the season. It's 34 degrees out and I had to scrape a little ice off of the truck windows this morning but one hopes. Tickets bought to see Marty Stuart & His Fabulous Superlatives in Kalispell in July. Woo Hoo!

Morning. Today is the inaugural first day of wearing shorts for the season. It's 34 degrees out and I had to scrape a little ice of the truck windows this morning but one hopes. Tickets bought to see Marty Stuart & His Fabulous Superlatives in Kalispell in July. Woo Hoo! June 3 for me. ROW A in the orchestra pit. I'm so freakin' lucky Marty is a relatively unknown treasure and his tickets are ridiculously affordable (at least here in nowheresville) - those who know of him love him, and everyone else is out of luck. Although I must admit I'm also going to see Cousin Kenny and Chris Scruggs. Chris, the grandson of Earl Scruggs, is a pretty fantastic multi-instrumentalist. He's great at steel guitar, and also classic "Tele" country.

By the way, Marty is almost never seen without a scarf. Many people of theorized either (1) he has some sort of scar or disfigurement or (2) his neck makes him look old. A while back Deke Dickerson went to see the band and hopped on the bus afterwards with his aunt and daughter and they took a couple pics. Marty DID NOT HAVE ON HIS SCARF and he looks perfectly fine. So I believe it's a stylistic choice.

I am in a meeting all day long. My goal is to stay awake. Some day I would like to join one of your all-day meetings. If anyone asked me why I was on the Zoom call I would just tell them, "I'm Todd's memoirist. I'm taking notes for the book."

Good morning 31F-57F sunny. A few errands before I get to work. Worked on a few instruments yesterday but the interesting one was a Glarry e-335. One of those $139 imports. Overall not bad for parts and finish. Fretwork could be better as I had to tap a few while setting it up. Owner didn't like the red tortoise finger rest on it so I made a white pearl one which looks nice. None of my templates would fit so I copied the original and made the new one from that. The fuzzies at the edge are just the film cover and will go away when that is pulled off. Another one I did last year. This one didn't come with a finger rest but got a BIG ding where the rest should be so covering it with one was a easy solution to the problem.

Setting up another fish tank. My Firemouths just trotted out a cloud of little babies. So I got to move some other fish out of the tank or all hell will break loose. Firemouths are very protective parents. If they can eliminate a potential threat, they will. [not my photo, but this is exactly what I have got going on. Those little specks are the 'now free swimming' fry.]

Checking in just to be checking in. Started at 60 degrees this morning. Going to 86 and hotter each day. Supposed to hit 97 by Sunday. We may have to turn on the A/C soon. Took Mr. H for an eye injection yesterday. I ended up cooking dinner because his vision was fuzzy. I'm out of practice but made ahi tuna in a peanut sauce, Brussels sprouts, and some leftover stuffing come out all at the same time. Today we're going out to a Mexican place that we haven't tried. Coincidental, not related to my cooking.
I've been planning some post-COVID trips and have found that I'm out of practice on that too. Short cruise coming up soon seems to be all arranged. Got hotel booked for another trip of a few days in San Diego. Flights TBD. Expensive and not good. Also looking at going back to Iceland next year, 10 years after our first time there.

Working on a Balalakia. Made in Italy by Musikalia run by a Dr Leone who may not be alive any more. Interesting company. Owner wanted three extra frets added to the blank end of the fretboard. Of course this led to rabbit holes. Wow, you can do a lot on three strings!
