After my Mom fractured her hip, Hospital, 2 different rehab centers. A 911 call, emergency room and now going to an assisted living center. She has tried to kill herself twice in the last month. She is 95 and has nothing to live for she thinks. She has lost 40 pounds in two and a half months and I had her in hospice for 13 days to give her a chance to die peacefully but she is a tough old bird. I went to Vacaville, California to be with her but I got sick with their cold weather and came back to Iowa. 5 planes in 6 days can be a bit much. I will have to go back out there sometime again to settle her estate.On top of that her housekeeper of 8 years got her credit card and rang up 5,000 in charges and got one of her checks and did a bunch of ACH electronic checks to the tune of 29,000 bucks. My Mom is not being charged with any of it and waiting for the police to arrest the housekeeper. So that's how my life is going. Sorry you are dealing with this but I know you can handle it. |
