Tuesday morning, cloudy, cold and rainy.
Workshop time, depending on Dawn's work schedule. Set up the router table last night, adjusting the chop saw. Woodworkers spend more time adjusting and maintaining tools than they do cutting wood.

Sam's been nominated for an Emmy again. I've been given the day off. I'm at 36 hours three days into the work week. I've got some odd chores to do (try to fix my login to the USPS employee site so I can bid on my promotion). I'm going to try to get the deck off my mower to replace the blades. If it clears up at all, I'm hoping to walk the dog.

We got us one of them tropical heatwaves coming! Tomorrow is supposed to hit 70!
If it weren't for that pesky restraining order, I would be doing my traditional no longer "Welcome May!" dance around the yard.

Good morning. Yesterday was very windy but today will be mild, 60s-80s. I have no complaints.
Behave yourselves.

Off to the ear nose and throat Doc to discuss my chronically messed up sinuses. After that, Costco beckons. Then off to ace for some shower grout cleaner sealer stuff. Then I need to return recyclable bottles and cans. At ten cents a pop we be rolling in maybe 3 or 4 dollars of folding money. Which is helpful on taco Tuesday.

Good morning.
41F-59F windy.
Windy yesterday too. Not really cold but it still cuts right through you. Shop time to get a few things out of clamps and some others in clamps. Got to visit the pharmacy and client about 2:00. So a busy day before naptime.
Been sending a few bottom feeder guitars through the bandsaw. These are ones I would never bother to repair and are not worth using to teach with. A few are ones that were good guitars at one time but got broken beyond repair. So I've been pulling parts, tuners, fingerboards, bridges and truss rods off them and sending the rest through the saw until nothing's left but small pieces that won't take up much room in the bin. Even cutting stuff small it will be a full bin this week. This is making even more room in my storage area and less stuff in my shop. But I am filling up the parts area, seems this never ends, so lots of that is going on Reverb. It all takes up time.

Morning. 70 and sunny today. Mid day hike on the schedule.
Heading to Boise this weekend for some family stuff that involves a half step niece in law ballerina performing in Swan Lake. I'll be spending those 3 hours at Guitar Center if someone needs me.

I bicycled to work today. OMG I am out of shape.
Someone put a little cow doll at the base of our outside metal owl statue. It looks like the owl has the cow in its talons and is taking her away.
Other than that, it is just another day of making the world a better place.

Yesterday I talked to an old friend from high school about a possible reunion of our old high school debate group. There were about a dozen of us who've kept in touch over the years and gotten together periodically. We've lost two in recent years and we're soon to lose a third. It has still been hard to schedule a reunion since 2016. But this time there's a now-or-never undercurrent. We have a date and a place. Several people have said that if there is one, they'll do whatever it takes to get there. I think this time it will actually happen.

Good morning, all.
Final exam week brings out the anxiety in our patient population, and our visits reflect that. Gotta keep them stable until they finish exams, then they can go home for a while!

Sunny and a little warmer, but the wind is still blowing. Music practice this afternoon.

I had a ton of final exam anxiety in college but going to student health for it never crossed my mind. Maybe because I had no idea we even had a student health venue. Still don’t. Like a good Catholic boy in a Jesuit college I’d say a prayer, study hard and hope for the best.
Beautiful day here, windy but warm. Got a good hilly walk in.
Finished the second season of Perry Mason. I liked it although instead of integrating the inclusiveness aspect with subtlety they opted for the bowling ball approach to make sure you got it. Still a good series. B+.
Interesting how many British actors/actresses are playing American characters including two leads in this one.

LJ, I’ve got an old Harmony, but it needs some love. It needs a nut, tuners, neck and frets need attention, and the saddle is toast. I figure it needs a thousand dollars worth of work to make it a 700 dollar guitar. Interested?

I've photographed them -- looking down the length of them on either side of the long driveway -- in every season. Yesterday I caught this view of the hundred maples (it's actually only 76. I had a parcel, so I counted as I drove up to the house).
