Good morning. I plan to take a walk soon and later I'll at least get started on assembling some shelves. Enjoy your day.

Good morning, sitting in my recliner, drinking coffee while a cool morning breeze drifts through the open doors.
Got the lawn mowed yesterday and then we were blessed with 3/8 of an inch of rain. We could still use more rain.

It hasn’t rained here for a long time, which is very weird for the PNW. No rain in the next week either. The forests are tinder dry, not good.
The usual for today, going to be pretty warm, high forcast to be in the low 90’s.

Sunny, muggy, possible thunderstorms over the weekend.
Today's activities are dependent on weather and arrival of roofing for the shed - getting it from a lumberyard about an hour south that serves pole barn builders. Looking at the 10-day forecast, I was hoping for a 2-day window of dry weather for roofing and a 2-day window for staining. Looks like I will have to settle for 1-day windows here and there.
Potential kayakage if I'm not driving to get the roofing.

Morning!
Taking the cat to the vet for shots this morning. I can't tell you just how much I'm looking forward to that.
It starts with the boxing. She does not want to get in her box. Picture four feet splayed out ridgedly.
Then it is the car ride. Music to the ears... of the clinically insane, perhaps.
Then it is the peaceful, tranquil sit in the waiting room. It is not peaceful or tranquil. I explain to the staring others that my pet wolverine is having a bad day.
Then it is unbox and attack the vet time. She was so wild last time, the vet gave me some sedatives to dose her with prior to her next visit. I lost the sedatives. He's well paid, he can deal with it.
This time I will try get it all on my phone. Might be some good Youtube stuff.

The food on the way to work was incredibly thick, like pea-soup, hard-to-see-the-car-in-front-of-you thick. And all the more strange because it’s a bright, sunshiny day. A sunny fog day means crazy-high humidity, that’s for sure.
I just wanted to take a moment to say I appreciate “knowing” each and every participant in the forum, even those who think I’m an asshole. If you do think so, it’s probably because at one point or another I was an asshole to you. What can I say? I’m a flawed human. But I’m glad you’re here, regardless I’d how I’ve acted towards you in the past.

Good morning
63F-87F partly sunny/sunny.
For all the lightning and thunder in the distance the storms never quite made it over us last night.
Later today we'll go pick up DaWife's rental car that she and Ayana will take north to Uncle Bill's after she picks her up from the airport in the morning. Kaiah and Zaria will take their car up tomorrow afternoon. Bill is there so the girls won't have to do anything once they get there but they will have to do the shut down work when the leave the next weekend. The place is wired so the only thing left running is the fridge. Power breakers are in a safe like locked panel and the fridge is on it's own switch. Makes it uncomfortable to squatters in the winter.
I and the cats will have a week of lounging about the house in our underwear, well I will. Not cooking for anyone but myself and not doing chores, until Saturday. I'll fill the freezer with easy meals. Bill's place is really nice but The girls just want to do so much that I can't keep up. And somebody has to feed my boys and let them in/out.

Weather was threatening yesterday evening, so Monday Night Jazz set up inside rather than on The Veranda's big front porch that faces the outdoor tables on the sidewalk. Sure enough, after the first set the rain came, and then the front blew through and it was horizontal rain for a while before settling down to a nice drizzle. We could use two or three more such, or better yet a day-long soaker, but I'm sure the plants will take whatever they can get.
It was a nice night, musically, with a bigger-than-usual audience crammed into the small lounge space and a regular's birthday to celebrate and free cookies brought by the baking-enthusiast wife of the keyboard player. I played hardly any clams at all.

It’s 83°, but feels like 93, it’s humid out here. Hopefully those storms in Nebraska will move here and give us some much-needed rain. And us off as well
