Good morning. It'll be cloudy here with possible showers after 2:00 PM, then heavy rain tonight. We'll be getting what's left of the storm that's been slamming southern California.
This morning I'll visit a florist to order anniversary flowers for my spouse. This afternoon we'll visit a friend who's in rehab after major surgery.

Controversial country artist Toby Keith has died at age 62. I like this song, macho and misogynist themes notwithstanding. RIP.

Bought tickets this morning to see Willie Nelson in concert. He's coming to Milwaukee in May. A few years back I made the mistake of not going to see Merle Haggard when he was in town. I regret that to this day. Not going to make that mistake with Willie.

Cloudy again. The slight cough and slight sniffle I had yesterday is now a full-blown cold. Will spend the day muddling about the house.

29F-52F mostly sunny.
Wowzers! 52 degrees in Feb.
I'll probably have an errand or two to do today so down to the shop asap. Toasted English muffins with cream cheese this morning. My favorite cream cheese mix is Bacon and Scallions but you can't get it anymore so I got the plain stuff and mixed up some. It's been in the fridge over night to blend flavors and hopefully that will work.

Music practice today at Phil's, temperature this afternoon will be in the mid 50s.
Trying to decide what I want for snacks during the super bowl. I'll be at home, with no guests, so the only one I have to please is myself. Chili? Soup? Pizza? Chips and salsa? Veggies? Fresh fruit?

The mid-winter break is over. City band last night. Old farts band this morning. Choir practice starts tomorrow. Uffda!
It was two for one burrito night last night, so I have a super deluxe burrito waiting for me later today. Uffda!

Sad news from the North Shore of Lake Superior, where the historic lodge at Lutsen Resort burned to the ground overnight. No one injured, though. Built in 1885 Lutsen has had two other fires 1949 & 1951. They are using the 1951 plans for the rebuild. |

He had his son's band open for him. And then the band played along with Willie. My wife is friends with the woman that used to run Ravinia. She would say that Willie would tour when he needed money for his taxes. But Willie is a classic. Have fun. |
