I think most of us have been waiting for your go ahead. I'm interested, assuming no more significant physical deterioration.

Good to hear that you are up for it.
I am of course up for it. Not too soon to start practicing for Saturday night.

As long as it doesn't interfere with our Hawaii trip we are in. We haven't set the exact date yet because we don't know when her retirement bonus will be paid.

I'll be up for it. Anyone else? This has been everyone’s big, unspoken question. If you didn’t mention it, I’m guessing no one else was going to bring it up. We always keep that weekend open and would love to participate. Will you let us locals do all the work? We’d rather have you than Idiot Jam.

I've just been waiting for your go-ahead, Todd. I think I requested those days off from work back in February or so.
Speaking of which, and I know someone asks this every year, but what will the dates be? September 6-8 (Fri-Sun) or 13-15? It's typically been the weekend before the 15th, but as the 15th is on a weekend I didn't know if that changes anything. Because also as a tax guy I'm always focused on the 15th of every month, whereas the rest of you may plan Idiotjam in relation to Labor Day.

Weekend after Labor Day? Can I beg a ride from Chicago? Gotta get the CFO to bless it. I’ve been a little shaky the last year or two and she has approval power over my plans. Would love to make it.

A friend of mine checked into the Cobblestone this weekend, guitar in hand. The manager told him "we have guitarists here all the time". Which means they're expecting us. I'll have to stop by and verify dates.

I just made my reservation at the Cobblestone. I feel morally obligated to announce that in case it might influence some of you to stay away.

Could you confirm the dates? I'm pretty sure you're golfing with your brothers that weekend.

Could you confirm the dates? Always the weekend after Labor Day. Some of us arrive on Thursday but most on Friday. This year it is September 5 (or 6) thru 8.

I make joke playing off of Rob's joke. I knew when IJ was. I just wanted to make double darn sure there wasn't a possibility that Rob might have mistakenly made his reservation a week ahead or behind, thus making the idea of IJ attendance suddenly more attractive to the several of us that are undecided.
In non-joke world, I fondly (if not entirely rationally) consider Rob to be a reason I would want to attend IJ, which, alas, I can not as that date is Brothers' Weekend, a date which just seems to be impossible to ever move.
(this year, one brother is leaving for Ireland immediately after. And every year, Labor Day, is locked down in a strong box for cabin brother's wife's family... we bros are welcome to join the crowd that weekend, but we really don't want to).
I really would like to attend IJ. I work up a couple very special trombone numbers every year, just in case fortune breaks my way. One day, one year...

You just lost my endorsement for Prez. Now, Rob is the front runner.
