Here comes another day...
Another trip to Home Depot, and a bunch of "honey dos". And the Yankees are playing the Red Sox. Now it's time for the piano with the headphones.

Good Morning Good People
Sunny and cool on the Third Coast after three days of rain. Church and home repairs on the agenda.
Have a peaceful spring Sunday one and all.

Morning. It was snowing an hour or two ago, but I think it's turned back to rain/drizzle/sloppy/grey day.

We had our rain drizzle sloppy grey day yesterday. Today is sunny and mild but cold looms. We will be about 15 to 20 degrees cooler than the norm all this coming week. Well until Wednesday anyway.

Up. I have to fly to Raleigh for a few days. STILL unable to keep what's inside inside. Since today is a travel day, that means no eating. At least I'm losing weight.....

Don't worry, Fingerplucked, blue skies are headed your way. I stepped into the driveway, and there's this big round yellow thing in the sky. I think I've seen that before, but don't quite remember when.

Good morning. Should be another good day in the Metroplex. It's been cool and a little windy but all in all not so bad.
I have mentioned that I am studying some jazz concepts for the guitar and it's been fun. But it has made me realize that I need to be faster in recognizing notes on the fretboard. To help me with this I bought a couple of books dealing with this subject that I'm about 1/4 of the way through now. If they are any good I'll report later when I'm further along. I do need the help so any suggestions would be appreciated.
I'll be working more on some backup material for practicing today using my Zoom H2. I hope this works out 'cause I don't know any bands that are going to invite me to their practices so that I can kinda jam along.

I was gratified to find a message from Henry Musana in my inbox. He tells me that things have calmed somewhat in Kampala and the rioting is over. His little store remains intact so all is well. The matatu drivers are still striking so transport is a bother, but people are safe.
All that to say it's a good day!

Forgot to mention that we've had mid 80 weather here for the last two days, expected to continue, and even warm nights. The AC unit in my son's room has been running steadily. He's a wimp! Glad to have the warm weather.

Good morning. Kelly's off at Disney on the annual school band trip. I'm going to see the Rays play the Orioles in St. Pete. Claire is going to get some well deserved rest.
Have a great day everyone.

Good news Evan. I've been unable to face the news from Kenya for quite a while.
Good morning!
Had a great night last night. Excellent dinner, excellent wines. There were three reps from three Canadian Vintners who explained the various wines that we had with the meal. Really good wines. It seems like the Canadian wine industry has grown up. The ice wine with dessert was delicious. (pear avec creme brulée, fromage bleu and chocolate truffle)
Lars played with the principal clarinet and Richard, the composer, on violin. While circulating I was pleased to hear mutters about memories of Lars Jensen - "I remember when I was at this dance at the coliseum and the band was so boring and about midnight Lars arrived and we danced until 4 in the morning ... " and "He played at our wedding". It all bodes well for the upcoming symphony & Lars concert. All the people in the room are fervent symphony supporters who think nothing of purchasing a $400 bottle of wine at auction. The event usually raises about 6K$, which is good.
It snowed last night. Just a dusting. I'm looking forward to seeing that thing in the sky Village, shove it on over.

Mornin'..... Up and out of here momentarily.....church could be unusually exciting today as we have a guest worship leader for tonight and tomorrow night's first two Revival services. Darrell Evans, who penned contemporary hits "Trading My Sorrows" and "Your Love is Extravagant" will be there and hopefully I will have the opportunity to add a guitar with him. He usually goes solo, but we'll see. If I do, it would be tomorrow night since that would give me time to get with him and rehearse a bit. Tuesday night, the duo will be playing a couple for that night's service. Enjoy another beautiful Sunday folks.....

Cool and rainy today. Yesterday was indeed 20 celsius, clear, gorgeous. Felt like Spring. Took the girls to the local fair, as we promised them, and they had a blast. Pizza and beer afterwards at some friends. Visited the new townhouse, and took in our beautiful new view - can't wait to move.
Sehkmet, and BC wineries there? Our industry is a bit smaller, but the quality of the wines being produced is fantastic, and been getting rave reviews. The Okanagan region here is hot and dry, and produces some fine stuff, including some very fine reds.
Back to packing today.

Good Morning
The Sun is out and the sky is blue, we haven't seen that for quite a while. Lazy day for me, I hope.

Rick - we had Ontario Niagara wineries only - the Mike Weir Estate and Hillebrand. I must say I have been ignorant about Canadian wine. We've come a long way from Baby Duck!
The Mike Weir 2005 Vidal Ice Wine was a treat!!!! We had a Mike Weir Estate 2002 Chardonnay for the first course that was really delicious.

Good Sunday morning. Late start for me today which is highly unusual. A cool but beautiful sunny day here in the South.
Going to take some photos of the house with all of the blooming dogwoods. The rest of the day is housework and the final round of the Masters on TV.
Today's pollen count - 3243 (anything above 120 is extremely high). Good day to stay indoors.

Good news Evan. I've been unable to face the news from Kenya for quite a while. Kampala is in Uganda, Sek. The northern part of Uganda has been having trouble for a long time, with rebel soldiers running back and forth across the Sudan border, where they hide out. Another emerging problem is the people's distate with some Indians (India). When they came back after Amin, they started making a lot of money, which has stirred some resentment.
