Good mornin' friends! Home today recovering from the weekend camping/ fishing trip. I spent a lot of time fishing with two boys (6yrs. and 10 yrs.) that were removed from their home as children in need of care and placed in the custody of my step-daughter and her husband. Really a sad istuation, but we had a blast fishing and just walking around the lake exploring. When we got home yesterday, we learned that an old friend and fellow member of our church has passed on. Rest in peace, George I'll be doing lot of laundry and even more guitar playing today. I'll play "The Old Rugged Cross" for you, George, you've joined your beloved wife at last. Tom

Good morning all.
I've got a busy workday to start out with but it should slow by this afternoon. Fun and games this evening.
Have a great day everyone and don't get arrested!

Good morning from still-dark North Country at nearly 6:30 a.m. Sposed to get up to 82 degrees today, good day to catch up on outdoors work after I get home from the office, at least wash the windows in the front of the house so I'll have a clear view of the bleak midwinter in not too many weeks.
So far on the local cool radio station I've heard Bruce Cockburn, Chris Smither, Willie Nelson and Sandy Denny this morning, so it's been a good day already!

Summer has returned to the midwest, as it'll get close to 90 today. Hope the air conditioners in the schools are working!

I've got a recording of Cliff Edwards (Ukulele Ike) doing Hard Hearted Hannah; if you're interested, I could send you a copy.
Good Morning, all.
Why is it Monday?

Great start to my day...
Just now chasing away 3 pesky raccoons that are attempting to enter the house through the cat door. I'm waving an old Korean Harmony at it. Not fazing them one little bit, perhaps I need an Esteban for this job! I have a full pitcher of water ready to throw at them if they come back for the third time.
But the coffee's ready... ahhhhhhh!
Also, watched a program last night about the making of Sting's latest CD on HDNet (DirecTV). He was playing the cutest little Martin, looked like a 045 or something, and he had just one wound string on the 6th, not the usual 4. Good show, BTW.

Sting bought a Goodall from Podium one time while passing through. I think it was last year, and I think it was a 12-string.

Do Goodall 12's play as easily as the 6's? I've enjoyed every Goodall I've ever played in shops, never could justify spending the $$$ for them though.

They play very easily and have huge sound. They are not as jangly as most 12-strings, though, and have TONS of overtones. Almost too much richness for my blood!
Hey, Bob -- Doug Young got Barb and me a gig not far from you on Sat., Oct. 21 -- at the Blue Rock Shoot in Saratoga. Be there!
