I am doubly sad now. I can't attend my son's wedding because due to visa problems, I can't leave the country until my green card is in my hands, at least if I want to re-enter the US and due to my wife going to Canada to do a dog show, I won't be coming to IJ. I'm going to make sure we both come next year. On the plus side Bounce will be a champion puppy and well on her way to making champion puppies of her own. Ka-ching!

Thursday I slow down and don't blink forVinton. About 350. GPS doesn't always know everything. If you're on I-80, do take highway 330 from Des Moines to Marshalltown, and highway 30 from there. By far the fastest way. |

By far the fastest way. Todd is correct about this route coming from the west. Be aware, though, that the interchange on I–80 is marked US-65, not 330. Locals call it “the diagonal.” It's a four-lane divided highway that becomes IA-330 about half way to US-30. |

Anyone have a forum members head count for those attending? Todd has been keeping a head count. Not sure yet on how many performers we have for Saturday, we'll work on that Friday night and Saturday afternoon. He has made dinner reservations for Saturday evening for 30. |

Dang it, looks like you'll have to reduce that by one. Just got word that the boy's car jumped a timing belt or something and may have cracked a head (the expensive one under the firewall). That means my truck is going to be pushed into loaner duty for a couple weeks and we really cant afford much else temporarily. On the plus side though, Christal has once again become interested in playing out and next year she'll be settled in the new job so she might be able to join me. Sorry y'all and particularly factorychef- your generosity is amazing. |
