But to be clear, "this" refers to the Drama in DC. Not this thread.
Concerning this thread, I'm enjoying it or I wouldn't be here. (as I said earlier, I don't have cable, so this is it, for me).
But, to return to your question, Yes, I think Bruce Willis would be a good choice.

Trump's stonewalling has been a good strategy politically but that wall is starting to crack.
The former ambassador to the EU and Ambassador Volker will or have testified before Congress.
These people are in a position to know precisely what went down in the beautiful Ukraine call.
Plus, there are now reports of a second whistle-blower.
Anybody who believes that Trump's self-released "summary" (a damning enough document) is the full story, is likely to be quite surprised.
I am not suggesting that his followers will not remain happy to leave their Nike's nest to their bunks, or that the GOP Senate will impeach him.
But the ugly that is already being seen beneath the microscope is only going to get uglier.

All that matters is the poll numbers. They have get clearly low enough that the Republican party (such as it is) views him as unelectable and that R's in tight re-election bids decide it is safe/beneficial to attack him.
50/50 won't do it. 55/45 won't do. 60/40 the water starts boiling.
The other measure will be when Pence is nowhere to be seen. No comments, no interviews. Out of sight being prepped for a make-over.

The false premise is that "the whip comes down". Whips don't come down, whips crack. It's hammers that come down.
(whips cracking and hammers coming down are both are metaphors for consequences. Whips coming down is a sexual reference in the GLQSRDP community.)
((John was having fun with language. I'm not sure what Mike was up to with his "whips coming down", but those Airstream folks sound like they must be quite the party bunch.)
