Good morning? More than an inch of snow here, about 12-18 inches piled up against my garage door, an inch or 2 on the driveway. I'll probably go clean in front of the garage when the snow stops.
Forecast is for 60 degrees on Sunday.

Today my daughter and Granddaughter will head to Scotland, via London, for the Irish Dance World Championships. My Granddaughter has retired from competition, but she is going as a coach. World medalists are in high demand as coaches, and she finds time to do some coaching in addition to a full college load and a part time job.
As for me, I'll make a grocery store run this afternoon, in preparation for some potentially foul weather the next couple days.

Good afternoon, I'm just home from a visit with Todd. He continues to improve, and it looks like he will be moving to Vinton in the very near future. He's anxious to move.

I've been procrastinating all morning about breakfast and now it's almost noon.
I need to do some grocery shopping so I think I'll leave soon, have lunch at the family restaurant and then shop for groceries.

I went to visit Todd this evening and I can verify what Dub said. Todd said to tell everyone hi, and that he knows he's mending, but he still has a ways to go. I'm planning to visit again on Wednesday. Big discussion tonight was if he should shave (get shaved), I take that as a good sign.

Good morning. We had an eventful open mic last night at the Brickside, in Vinton.
Right after our first trip to the mics, (Phil and I performed together), a gentleman stopped to talk to me. I knew he looked and sounded vaguely familiar, but couldn't think of who he was.
Turns out he was with a group of us that spent a lot of time camping at a local lake - in the summer of 1968!
I don't think we had crossed paths since then. He was there (open mic) to support one of the other participants, heard me singing and recognized me.

Good morning, rain here this morning. I was planning for a break in The rain this morning so I could make a dry grocery store run. I'll now try for this afternoon.
The house next to me is for sale, part of an estate that needs to be taken care of. The house has had little or no maintenance for the past 10-15 years and it shows. This morning a septic service crew showed and they are digging up the back yard. That don't look good.

Glad to hear you're making good progress in your recovery.
To cheer you up I'm thinking of performing that special song; "Almost Heaven, Rest Virginia" at the Brickside open mic on Friday.
Anxious for you to get back home!!

Good morning, another nice day before a little cool down and maybe a little rain.
I have some guitar homework to do before Friday's open mic. Phil and I will do a couple songs together, one of which is new to me.

Beautiful morning, I made it home from Wisconsin yesterday, then had a plumber come to reinstall my water pressure tank, the new tank that they installed a month ago. They did a poor job, and it had a tiny, intermittent leak, hopefully that's fixed now.
Music this afternoon with Phil, just the 2 of us today, it'll be like old times.

34 degrees this morning, a brisk breeze from the NW, the lake looks very cold and uninviting.
We're going to head out to St Vincent DePauls in a bit to see what treasures we might find. About 10 years ago i bought a Yamaha Tele there for $12.50.

At my daughter and SIL'S, in Wisconsin, drinking coffee while looking out over Bass Lake.
We'll be heading out soon for the St Patrick's day parade in Milwaukee. It's gonna be cool, but the rain has stopped and the sun is shining.
Birthday dinner tonight for both grandson's, they'll choose the restaurant.

Do you believe in Entanglement in humans?
I'm currently working on a song about an encounter I had with a real pirate, in Surabaya, Indonesia, in 1991. This post is the first I've told anyone about the song.
This morning I had a message, on Messenger, from the gal in Indonesia who was my translator at the time of the pirate meeting. Last time she and I had communicated was 7 years ago.
Seem like a strange coincidence.
Entanglement?

Picking up a 400 lb bike that's on it side is relatively easy, if you know how to do it. It's all about your technique, you use your leg muscles to wLk it up. I e done it with a couple big bikes. Dr Google can show you. Are you a dirt bike rider? Are you a wimpy, over 68-year-old man like me? Yes, facing backward, grabbing the handlebar grip and some portion of the middle or rear of the bike, then using your knees and leverage (if the position allows), walking backward, and standing the bike vertically (if the front wheel is not sliding out from the position). I know the technique. It works great on flat asphalt. (Have you tried it in the mud on a slope with full riding gear?) You young, strong guys might think it is "relatively" easy! It is not easy for me and it is not a lack of technique. Lifting 400 pounds to a vertical position is simply harder than lifting 300 pounds, as is lifting the 400 lb. bike off of my leg after I have fallen. (Yes, I have done this). Each time I fall, the energy that I expend in lifting a bike up is taxing. The more taxing, the less fun. I'm way over 68, and I've owned and riden about ever kind and sized bike. I have never tried to pick up a bike in sand or mud, never had one on top of me, came close on my flat tracker in 68, (BSA Hornet) but I kept it up.
