Well, could you describe her?
Four legs? Tail? Ears up, down, or sideways? Etc.

I'm with you, Doc. I just googled the Herald sports page, and it did suck. Nothing at all about the Twins or the Wolves rooks tearing up the Vegas summer league. The Globe wasn't any better, to tell the truth.

Par for course. Expected. Goes with the job. There was failure, there is a price to be paid. Buck stops here. Plenty of other bosses to be found. Seppuku.

Waste disposal has always been my chore and it doesn't faze me. I think you meant "phase". Just helping Bill out as he has an extra heavy workload today.

What insult?
You said the 2020 election was fixed, not by a conspiracy, but by first a large group of birds acting unknowingly in concert to commit election fraud in order to keep Trump out, and then, upon reflection, you switched to a smaller group of elite powerful birds acting in unspoken agreement to cheat the election Biden's way.
You consistently maintain the election was stolen while providing only fuzziness to justify your claims. And you keep insinuating that the same thing will happen again to keep Trump out. These are serious, and damaging, claims. There has to be more than fuzz to repeatedly make such claims. Or, at least, there should be. Trump has changed things.
Trump's delusional and persistent claim of a rigged election is the single most damaging cut to the democratic fabric of this country I have witnessed in my life. You want to repeat the delusion, fine. But, I will continue to ridicule the damaging ridiculous. Your free speech. My free speech.

Morning!
I am the biggest fan of labs in the world. Goldens and labs. Them's my pooches!
But, if I lived in a city, especially in a city with a hot climate, I would give a close look to a Boston terrier. They don't take up much room or shed much hair when they are inside (hot climate), small dogs with short hair tolerate heat better (hot climate), and while they love walks and will walk all you want to walk, a small Boston just won't require, or ask for, as much exercise as vigorous lab, as all things are proportional (including the amount of poop that needs to be picked, much, much, much less poop).
There are other good small dogs, but I am familiar with Bostons as my brother has had two and is on his third. They are affectionate, spunky, cuddly, and, very important, they don't "yip" "yip, yip, yip". They are quiet and don't bark much at all ever, and if they do, it isn't a yip.
At first, Bostons do look ugly and, if used to labs and such, don't even seem to qualify as a dog. But, they are spunky little farts and are all dog, and will win you over.

Judging from John's previous posts, the reason he believes Trump has no chance to win this election is the same reason he believes Trump didn't have a chance to win in 2020... mysterious elites with magical indescribable powers will pull invisible strings and levers to insure they maintain their secret rule. Amazingly, they are able to organize all this without resorting to speech, relying instead on their ability to act in concert by using telepathy, Ouija boards, and the earth's magnetic fields.
The FIX is in.

It is refreshing, and reassuring, to see that graciousness and simple decency can still rise out of the mud and mire of politics.
Mike Pence, Republican party: "President Joe Biden made the right decision for our country and I thank him for putting the interests of our Nation ahead of his own."
D. Trump, MAGA party: “Crooked Joe Biden was not fit to run for President, and is certainly not fit to serve – And never was! He only attained the position of President by lies, Fake News, and not leaving his Basement."
Even in politics, fundamental character shines through.

I guess I don't fret about voting, either. ND is a 60/40 Republican state, (or 65/35), and given the state's interests and economy, I can't blame it. Fifty years ago, it was Democratic, but different times, different party.

Very, very few get their first (or 2nd, 3d, 4th, or 5th choice). My dream ticket would be Mark Kelly and Gretchen Whitmer (with Joe Manchin and Liz Cheney in there somewhere).
But, a party is coalition of compromises and the focus that unifies the Democratic party is to keep Trumpism at bay. Any unknowns with Harris are fully resolved and covered by the knowns about Trump. I would vote for a gerbil if Trump were the other choice.

I see the Obamas are hedging and being a little vague and coy about endorsing Kamala. I wonder if he's trying to talk Michelle in or out of running? I see that Truth Social has already quashed that rumor, saying "forget that nonsense. #1 Both Obama's are Muslim and #2 weren't even born on this planet." Confirmed by NewsMax.

?
- Harris was elected twice to serve as Attorney General of California. Granted, that isn't as challenging or competitive an election to win as, oh, say, the election to become Attorney General of North Dakota (that is task and a half, let me tell you. Cutthroat).
- Harris was elected to serve as a United States Senator representing the State of California. Again, that's just California, not the mountain to climb a North Dakota Senate election is. But, a Senate race is a Senate race, even if it is only in California (representing 40 million people and the fourth largest economic power on the planet).
- VP's aren't there to accomplish. They are there to be at the ready. She is at the ready it appears.
(oh, I forgot, you might be thinking about the role of a MAGA vice president, which is to over-turn elections (a task the now disgraced by MAGA former VP Mike Pence failed miserably at, may he continue to avoid the MAGA gallows)

Started my day off with a bowl of spoon-sized shredded wheat with sliced bananas. I was going to post a picture of my morning repast but I can't find my phone.

My guess is (as a guess is all I have) is that Joe's decision to step down, and it was his, is proof, to me, at least, that he still has his marbles. He forgets what drawer they are at times, but he has them. They are there.
I'm basing my medical opinion on the "won't give up the car keys" marker, the clear indicator of a cognitive blowout. I know, you know, we all know, it is nigh on impossible to get someone whose faculties are well on their way down the drain to give up the car keys and admit they can't drive anymore.
Joe gave up the car keys. That indicates he still has clear reasoning. And his reasoning told him that what he was being told by friends and advisors was true. Admitting a truth you don't want to hear is a sign not only of a fully functioning brain, but of wisdom. And Joe admitted a truth he didn't want to hear or admit to. That earns a fellow five out of five stars in my book.
(and being knocked on your ass by covid can help with the wisdom part.)

If I were a Republican strategist, I would be squashing that talk about Biden needing to step down from the presidency immediately.
What if it actually happened?
100 days as the incumbent president would be a nice feather to add to Kamala Harris' campaign.
100 days to look presidential. 100 days with the mantel and all its trappings. 100 days of great free presidential PR. 100 days to enact a few presidential actions/programs/decisions that are popular with enough voters. 100 days to either smooze foreign leaders or stare at them with great firmness. 100 days in Air Force 1. 100 days to...
Ooh... I hope I'm right about the 100 days part. That would be embarrassing. Let's see, July 21st until, um..., when's the election? Early November? Let's see...Thirty days has September, April, June and November, 31 for the rest, well, not Feb, and, um...
Anyway, it's talk that would be a big ass backfire if it helped it to happen, and if I can see it ...
