I don't suppose anybody captured that song of mine at the Mercantile? I ask mostly to hear Joy's accompaniment (though it would also be nice to see what melody I came up with. I only wrote down the words.)

She might have captured yours, depending on when in the evening it was (she ran out of storage and battery at some point). She did catch my performance, but she had some deadlines to deal with this past week so she didn't have time to do any sort of editing.

Thanks. "The Note on the Table" was in the second half of the show, so Amy might have been out of gas by that point. Maybe just as well, given how uncertain I was of the tune. Still, Joy's fiddling was very tasty.

I think it’s good song and you two sounded great.

I'm thrilled to hear that John B's performance was captured, as it was wonderful -- an atmospheric, calming, slowish electric piece that employed a delay device to create a sonic structure that was almost like a fugue, with chords placed softly on the bottom and silky improv single-note melodies laid sweetly on top. Speaking with John later, it became clear how of-the-moment the piece was. It was terrific, and a pure original.

Hopefully I will have the opportunity to view it so I can say to myself, "I remember that differently." (and I remember it sounding better) One thing that I would like to figure out before next year is how to get some monitors added into the mix. It didn't take too long to realize I was getting absolutely no information back about what I was playing, except for what I could hear coming back to me from the room. But there are 51 weeks in which to figure that out. P.S. Bill, it was "Send In The Clowns." Really. At least part of it was.

My YouTube channel just served this up, and it was nice to hear. I could still play pretty well, but my hands were definitely starting to go to hell, shown by all the "toss-away" moments to prevent cramps. Anyhoo, here ya go, and a new shirt was worn from REI!

I love this, and I'm glad I was in the audience to hear you play it live. Although looking at the lack of facial hair, I'd place this on the timeline somewhere in the mid-60's?

There was a period in which the gray on my mustache was creeping in from the sides, leaving a Hitler-like image, so I shaved it all off. When it all reverted to gray/silver, I let it go again:

I know the reporter from the Vinton paper was around all weekend. Did we get a write-up?

And another stellar writeup from Amy, who had the challenge of condensing many conversations and many photos into a few paragraphs and 10 representative photos
