Morning all. Up and at em. It’s going to start raining by this afternoon, so I need to mow the front before then. Also off to Kaiser for my INR, then to Freddies to resupply. Probable nap later. Tylenol is my friend.
That’s all I got.

Back to the protests, here at Portland State University, where my daughter works, the school has been closed all week as protesters took over the library. Yesterday the police moved in arresting 30 people, only 7 of which were students. And while in the libtprary, what did the protesters do? They fuckin destroyed the place. Spray painted graffiti all over the walls, books, floors. Assholes.

This is kind of old news here. The flagship store is across the street from my former skinflint monkey f*ck employers…
At least you’re not bitter. Mike

Home. Exhausted. And sore. Frozen tamales in the steamer. And a Tylenol washed down with a shot of bourbon.

Happy birthday Bob.
I’m up, wife is still snoozing. I’m sore this morning be cause I took a tumble in a gas station in Sacramento yesterday when I didn’t see a curb and stepped off it. Getting old and making mistakes., kind of pitiful. Anyway, my kee is sore and my shoulder. Just popped some Tylenol. Getting old is embarrassing. Time to stumble across the parking lot of the Inn and find some coffee. Should be home in Newberg today by 3-4.

Made it to Harris Ranch. Had a fabulous flank steak Caesar salad for dinner. Did not get enough sleep last night, but will hit the hay early tonight. Tomorrow, assuming all goes well, we will be in Mt Shasta.

I really don’t want to cast aspersions but the advert just above Peter’s post is for a anti-snoring pillow.

Packing up to leave later. Have a new problem with the truck. Ford apparently has a issue with the cam phasers slipping at around 60k miles., for 2917-19 years. They will cover the repair in certain narrow circumstances, but I suspecting I’m not covered. It’s around $4k bill. The truck should make it home, but I’ll need to get it into ford at so point. Not happy.
Wordle awaits.

The sun is up and the wind is down, mid 90s is the forcast high. We will pack up today, and prep the condo for summer heat using five gallon buckets filled with water as a poor man’s humidifier. Expect to be on the road by 10:00 am tomorrow.

I’m up. Don’t talk to me about Wordle. I really should have some coffee before I attempt it. Need to do a few chores around here then get ready to pack up. That’s it.

Yay, the wind stopped. For now. And you can see the mountains. Peak wind gusts yesterday in Whitewater (just N of Palm Spring) were 75 mph.
Off to the street fair in a bit, or as Howard would call it, the green market. I want to pick up around three lbs of red flame raisins. A local variety and they kick store bought raisins to the curb. For use in baking and oatmeal, can’t be beat. We freeze them and three lbs will last until next winter when we return. (Lord willing and the river don’t rise)
Cleaning/repairing some more stuff in the condo today with an eye towards bailing out of here on Tuesday. We were going to leave Monday, after they picked up our trash, but figured out we’d be on the freeway with around 60,000 other people leaving because of Stagecoach concert. So Tuesday.

Why do you cook rocks? (asking for Todd.) On Kauai feral chickens are everywhere. Naturally, tourist want to know if people eat them. I came across this recipe for the local chickens. Cut up whatever veggies you want and toss them in the pot. Add several quarts of water, add the chicken and a four to six inch lava rock . Cook for at least four hours. Strain the stew, throw out the chicken, eat the rock as it will be more tender. More wind, sand and dust today. Ff to Costco in a bit to stock up on hooch. Good deal on 175ml bottles of Kirkland gin.
