Saw him about 10 years ago at City Winery. Nice show. His son was in the band. I like his voice a lot. Warm and comfy. His tween song banter was fun and poignant and funny. I thought I remembered someone here had gone to see him live. I thought he also toured with some Nesmith/novelist/other-famous-for-another reason guy. I'm prolly conflating Peter Tork touring with ____ _____ another guy whose name I don't recall. James Lee Stanley

It’s cloudy out now, but is supposed to clear up soon. My niece in Evansville Indiana posted pictures of the northern lights on Facebook.
It’s not just for northerners.

I decided I didn’t like my stupid joke. Your post was heartfelt, emotional, and moving and it’s so hard to joke about that. Enjoy your trip and your memories. The school where I started teaching closed and was razed. The school where I finished teaching closed. The school in which Barb taught closed and was razed. The school where she was principal for 14 year closed and was razed. It is like a part of our history has been erased and that is a strange feeling. We can point to empty fields and say we used to work there. You two have quite a track record. You should go in the demolition business.

Ads, ads, and more ads.
Not necessarily political. But there are a bunch of those too. I’d say 40%+ of what’s on the feed is ads. My local musical friends and some family are on it, so I check in often. But it’s a fast scrolling exercise.
Similar I get a lot of news on my Google feed. I can pick and choose what I click on. But once I click on an article, it’s a game of “Whack-a-mole” beating down pop-up ads. Some times it’s a game. Mostly it’s a pain in the ass.

It sounded great in your hands. When I picked it up, it didn’t sound the same. We weren’t meant for each other.
Nice guitar. It was great for you. I’m sure it’d be great for many fine players.

The Parking garage I mentioned is "Free." It was built as a way to revitalize the old down-town; back when shopping malls were sucking the life outta old suburban city centers. It's worked quite well. And there have been multi-story apartment/condo buildings sprinkled around the down-town to bring pedestrians back into the mix.
Plus there's a vacant lot turned into "Harmony Park" at the intersection where there's a stage in summer and Friday and Saturday free concerts. Bring your lawn chair. Local businesses sponsor the acts.
