I lived in a very old house for a while that had ceramic tile countertops. Small yellow ones, so there was nice little grouted spaces that crumbs and other stuch messes would accumulate. This was made worse by the fact that the edges of the counter had a 1 tile lip, so you couldn’t wipe stuff off into a dustpan or your hand. It was incredibly annoying.

Thanks. I'm getting ready to install. I read that 18" was standard, but thought it would leave only the lowest shelf for Dar to be able to reach. Stepstool. I use one all the time. The world is built for average sized people. My father, who was 6’ 3”, called my mother’s step stool, (she was 5’ 1”,) her ‘stumpy stool.’

mRNA is not far from reproducible synthetic life. But that last wee bit is a zillion miles wide. That said, if they ever succeed at it, we are in trouble. I’m ready for our synthetic overlords! As long as they’re hot, and provide decent pension plans.

I’ll go and find the arrangements online, and then work through and try them. It’s funny how often I hear something and think, oh, I have to do that, and then learn to play it and realize that it sounds great with a full band, and just doesn’t work very well by itself.
But sometimes it does work, or I can take the chords and work up an arrangment. The part that I really like, and this is true of other peoples’ songs, and my own, is when I get it down so that my hands can deal with the guitar nicely, and I can sing well over it, and it all just works without having to think about it too much. This takes a while, and many times through. Not having sung much in my life, this probably takes a bit more time than with some folks. But that’s the satisfying part, where it all comes together like that.

You want lovely ladies making some great music? I’ll take these two any time. Great vocals, wonderful slide work. I’ve always loved this song, and they do a great job.

Nice arrangement, nicely played, but sounds awful. Piezo quack?
He’s either tuned down or it’s a baritone. Unless he’s really tall, must be regular sized guitar tuned down.

Man, I thought this was some epic fantasy thing, like Watership Down or something like that. I was thinking the beavers were slapping those birds around with their tails.

I would suggest that if you have a good mic, just get a decent interface that will plug into a lightning port, and then plug the mic into that. I have an iRig Pro, and with a battery, it can also provide phantom power if you have a condenser mic. Otherwise, I’d suggested the Audio Technica AT2020 USB. I use a regular AT2020, and I’ve had great results in my little home studio. The USB version is the same mic, but uses a USB connection. You then need the Apple Camera kit. This provides an interface to plug the USB cord from the mic into the lightning port on your phone. Rick, my addled brain has a hard time following. The AT2020 is a mic, yes? Do you use an app on your phone to record onto? Hope this finds you well! I don’t record much on the phone. When I do I use AudioShare. The actual app for recording doesn’t make much difference in sound, it’s more like what you can do with it after as far as mixing and mastering. I was using Auria on my iPad to record and mix, it’s a full fledged DAW. I have now moved to using Logic Pro X on my MacBook, which is fantasic.

Lovely, Marshall. Love the video. You don’t want to make them yourself? They’re not that hard actually.

Lovely old tune. I don’t think that was actually recorded live there.

The stock market long ceased to have anything to do with the economy in general. All it is now is a place for people to make money, park money, or save for retirement, since interest rates render savings accounts worthless. At some point people will cease getting excited about it in regards to politics. But the fact that most stock is there to increase in share price, rather than provide a way to buy dividends, means it’s just a giant ponzi scheme.

I truly do not understand this piece of American government. Give the most powerful man in the land the ability to pardon anyone? Why? What was the point of this originally? Because it just seems maybe that it’s ripe for abuse? Not that Trump is the only one who has done so. Why does one man get to commute a sentence, without judge, jury or review?

I agree with you on that! I'm happy with my guitar, don't need another. Although I'm kind of thinking about a second, so I can keep one upstairs and one downstairs. But then that's kind of lazy. But on the other hand, I'd play more. The only rooms here with no guitars are the bathrooms. I sense an opportunity. Perhaps small bodied, so as not to take up too much space?

I’d love one of those Harmony OMs, but, not happening. I have one fabulous acoustic, an excellent dread, and I don’t need much else. I agree with you on that! I'm happy with my guitar, don't need another. Although I'm kind of thinking about a second, so I can keep one upstairs and one downstairs. But then that's kind of lazy. But on the other hand, I'd play more. Well, I do have the cargo downstairs. I have my Stonebridge, (my nice guitar,) and my tama dread in the music room. I also have my strat, my old ripper bass, the weissenborn, a nylon string, my tenor guitar, and my lap steel. But those are all different.

Hey, Dave, any time you want a lead or bass track, let me know. I have fun laying that stuff down. I collaborate with a friend on Vancouver Island and one in Alberta, by just loading a mix passed via Dropbox from whomever put the basics down into a track in Logic, recording, then sending the .wav or .aif file of the new track back. And I’m cheap, as in, free, And if you don’t like it, you can throw it away.

Hey, Rick. Very glad you’re back among us. We expect you to reciprocate and allow us into your country soon. We’re building the wall, Mark. Building the wall. It’s turning into a shit show up here as well. We were doing well here on the left coast, but it’s getting crazy now. I’m thinking the border is going to stay shut until the vaccine goes around.

My fav Tull story was how they got their name. They chose random names for the band, because they were so bad, just learning their instruments, they’d never get called back, so had to pose as someone else. The first time they got called back to a place, they had called themselves Jethro Tull, which was the name of an agricultural inventor from the 17th or 18th century. So it stuck. And then everyone thought Ian Anderson was named Jethro Tull.

That was actually upbeat. His first two albums were pretty dark, and while I liked them, there were way too many songs about whiskey and women. Not that I dislike whiskey and women, but it got a bit much. But what a voice.
Will have to listen to this album.

Though a short scale, small bodied 12 string.....
Nope, nope. Other priorities. Like not having my wife remove any of my body parts....
