I was tasked with cleaning out my mom's attic years ago. I hired a guy from Guatemala to help. Whatever he didn't want went in to the dumpster. He took a lot that I thought was total junk. If you ever get on the same page with Angie go down to the local Home Depot and pick up a couple of guys (don't ask- don't tell about their immigration status). Tell them they can have whatever they want. Maybe she will settle for knowing someone is getting some use out of it.

A couple of years ago now we moved out of our home of 26 +- years. We gave away and threw away selling very little. We did have a few family heirlooms from way back. Those we posted on FB to my first cousins on the particular side of the family from whence they came. We (my sister and I) got rid of several hundred-plus year old artifacts and historical photos that we no longer wanted to be responsible for but couldn't just pitch. Fortunately for us none of those items were worth a damn so it wasn't a big deal to let them go.
My son got my roll-a-way tool box, generator, and other items which he subsequently left at his erstwhile best friends house. Somehow I can't muster the outrage that event should engender. Screw it- not worth worrying about anymore. I still have some things that will be difficult to pitch: a nice gun case that my dad had made back in the mid 60s, his and my guns, my remaining good guitars, and a few other items. They are stored in my mom's old house that is getting worse every year for mildew, mold, soft floors, and whatever happens to old abandoned houses. I think it will last at least till I croak so I'm not going to worry about that either. My '74 Martin D18, American made Telecaster, Blue's Jr and Acoustic amp are in my closet. First one gets there and convinces Lisa that I promised them to you gets first pick.
Aside from those items, we have pared it down to life in a 5th wheel. It took a lot but we are 80 to 90% there.

Glad to have you back. Five years ago my bike accident changed my life and shortened my teaching career. It did however give me a gift to last a lifetime.
Did you marry a nurse, or ortho doc, or something? ETA: who’s playing guitar? Anyone with a slot head SCGC 12-fret OOO that a guy like you would choose to have on guitar must be a serious ringer...Well, the surgeon I saw is some arrogant, but world renowned, retinal surgeon at UAB. He didn't explain to me that there were options, and I didn't know. He removed the vitreous, lasered the tear and did a laser attachment around the circumference of the retina. Then he placed a nitrogen bubble. Everything went according to plan, and I'm appreciative of his expertise. Glad to hear it went well! Any discussion of cataracts? I was days away from my cataract surgery when I found out that my Medicare Part A doesn't cover it and it needed to be put off till I get my Part B going. I am disappointed because I was looking forward to getting rid of these contacts. I have been wearing the mono vision contacts with left eye for close up and right eye for distance. I was going to get the mono vision fix but then began to have second thoughts. At the last minute I decided to get them fixed for distance and use cheater glasses from Wal-Mart to work at my computer. But when I heard that it wasn't covered and I hadn't used my Blue Cross Blue Shield enough to cover my very high deductible, I postponed until later this year.

I once heard a comic say that anyone who could name more Kardashians than continents should be euthanized. Or was it sterilized? Either way is good with me.

Greetings from warm, muggy Orlando. We are moving out of our apartment and future living arrangements here are TBD. Our 5th wheel is in the shop to repair the roof. The tissue paper di-clor-something or other roof couldn't handle a few twigs. The repair guy said that the roofs with colors that match the rest of the camper are much lest durable than the old tried and true white. It won't be as aesthetically pleasing but it will be much more durable. I will take durable.
We are scheduled to leave here Friday after Faithful Wife's doctors appointment but as our home is in the shop we will be taken in by FW's older brother. Wife Number Five was supposed to move out last Friday and as he is rarely home we will probably be alone in his big house. Hopefully we will be there only for a week or so.
He has a large home on a canal that opens up to Lake Pontchartrain, an attached in-ground covered pool, personal dock, jet skis, and pontoon boat. Since it is so hot and muggy I will probably only avail myself of the pool on occasion spending the rest of my time as usual parked in front of my laptop working.
All is generally well- no complaints or major malfunctions to report.
Carry on.

Sticking with my 2 cycle stuff. I like to keep my profanity game muscular. I hear you. I don't know anything that will get me angrier faster than something with a pull start. 1 pull, all is at peace with the world. 2 pulls- I'm OK but starting to get irritable. 3 pulls and my soul gets dark and the curse words are filling my mouth ready to spew. 4 pulls- "You GD MF POS what is the %$%$ matter with you??? GFD (my special cursephrase) I hate you, you FN POS"!!! It's very similar to my Donald Duck fit that explodes when an AutoCAD function that has worked one way for decades suddenly decides not to work or the ACAD Demon decides to change the settings in my computer for some reason known only to Satan. It's bad, I know but I can't help it.

At this moment, my sister-in-law is heaving in the bathroom. She has the kind of migraine you read about and never want to experience. She brought her 8 year old son and six month old puppy for a visit too. With three dogs in the house, it’s a constant battle. What a vacation for her. Matt, I get migraines quite often but ever since my sister gave me some advice they haven't been that bad. Mine always start with my eyesight getting messed up. A "floater" will appear, turn into a shape like a sickle or half moon, and grow till it no longer appears in my sight. That is when I start to feel the headache and upset stomach. My sister told me long ago that if I would take Tylenol and a good dose of Zantac as soon as I noticed the floater, it would stop the migraine from getting going. And it worked. Very seldom do they really bother me now. I still get the initial floater but I'm never without ES Tylenol and a 150 Zantac somewhere nearby. That staves off the worst of the symptoms. I can still feel it but it's like a fraction of what it would be without those doses. I don't know if it would help her but it did me so I don't want to hold out on her.

With the onset of summer, we should all bow down before the inventor of air-conditioning. Willis Carrier. It is a complete mystery to me how there were any childbirths in the Deep South before this man came along. I guess everyone got busy on those two weeks of winter.

About all I can do for Memorial Weekend is binge watch Band of Brothers again. I did make recommendations to Son-in-Law who was looking for something to watch. I recommended "Eagle Against The Sun" , a documentary about the Pacific campaign and "Ghost Army" which was about the psyops division that worked all over Europe. I remember seeing the rubber tanks and guns in newsreels but there was a whole lot more to the "show". They had hours of recordings that used wire instead of magnetic tape. They had huge speakers on trucks to broadcast the sounds of trucks and tanks and activity. They had phony communications traffic to convince the Germans that a particular division had moved into the area. They wore badges and insignia of the division they were imitating so that spies would report the sightings. It was very interesting and had been classified until the Soviet Union collapsed and the PTB deemed it no longer necessary to keep it secret.

No pill box hat. JB is real particular about how they look. They mentioned it several times at graduation about "protecting their brand". Anyway, she came to the apt early this AM and I drove her to the Orlando AP and dropped her off in front of the jetBlue ticket counter. She is on her way to New York City and her new life.

I still have the taste of HS in my mouth from Iraq. Office of Special Plans, Yellowcake, UN briefings based on phony intel from one known liar i.e. "Curveball", All that bullshit where the NeoCons followed the Goering recipe. I'm a business owner, redneck, conceal carry gun owner, borderline right winger on some topics but bullshit was bullshit and I don't like having smoke blown up my ass.
I don't want another Gulf of Tonkin, WMD, bullshit campaign from people who THINK they know but really don't.

The tradition is for the classes to come up with a class song to be performed at graduation. The other class did an acappela version of something that I have already forgotten. Bethany's class consisted of different words to an Alicia Keys song that B sang while the rest of the class swayed and snapped their fingers. She said she was "Voluntold". She killed it of course.

I hope we don't start shooting first. Or gin up some phony excuse like in times past. I'm reminded again of the statement from Herman Goering:
“Of course the people don’t want war. But after all, it’s the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it’s always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it’s a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger.”
— Herman Goering at the Nuremberg trials
You want some "Freedom Fries" and some Yellowcake to go with this load of horseshit we are feeding you?
