Nice.
I just ordered coffee from Dancing Goats Coffee Roasters. It’ll be the first I’ve had in a long, long time.

[...] If you really want to enjoy it, don’t open that Plastic Ono video. Walk on by. It's a great song. Avoid the visuals. Listen to the audio.
No.

I have a steel building full of blank mail in ballots if you want a few Bruce. Figured you did. We vote in person. I do that 5 or 6 times every election.

Lawns were mowed yesterday and they really look a deep green this morning. Must be the 7 ft of rain we have gotten in the last month. Breakfast awaits. I am drinking coffee using my Deluxe Waffle House mug. I keep expecting someone to hit me from behind with a chair. Enjoy the day. If you really want to enjoy it, don’t open that Plastic Ono video. Walk on by.

Is Froon still at Batdirf and Bronson? If so I could head up there this summer maybe do lunch or something. It’s about a 2.5 hour drive from my house. Would love to see him again. Mike Pick up a pound of Dancing Goats for me.

One week to go in this rather fashionable cast. PT was here yesterday working on stairs. You wouldn’t think 3 steps could be so many but 3 steps on one leg is a lot. I may actually be walking again by mid-June.

I have seen them made of cherry, mahogany, and walnut. Here is an interesting site. www.jamesjonesinstruments.com/bowed-psalteriesThis guy says spruce, cedar, and redwood give the warmest tones. According to what I read, every string is a .010 ball end string. For the most part I agree with LJ. Cedar would be my first choice then Redwood or Mahogany. Back from Mahogany or Walnut. Sides from from a very hard stiff wood, laminated would be even better. One of the problems of getting warmth is the air volume of the body. You need more air inside to get lower frequencies to resonate. You could do a less stiff top but with the kind of tension present I don't think that would be a good idea. Don't do a tiny sound hole, it doesn't have to be huge just not restricted with fancy fretwork covers. Marshall can drop a pickup in it and, played through a Twin Reverb, volume will be no problem. And yes, he named his daughter Shanda. I don’t understand the reference to the daughter. It’s raining again. This is the rainiest trip to the islands I’ve ever experienced. Should get enough sun for some beach time. Heading down to Kapaa for Malasadas this morning. Sort of a Portuguese donut wih tropical cream cheese filling. I Scrumptious with coffee. Uh, you may want to go back to that thread and see who it was that correctly identified the guitar. Just sayin’. Dream Guitars has one for sale listed at $30,000. Sorry LJ, my apologies. I didn't remember exactly which thread so had to rely on memory. But at least I remembered that I had his book. In fact that guitar my be pictured in his book, or one exactly like it. No apologies necessary but don’t expect to see that $5000 soon. I have his book, too. I was really fascinated by his guitars back in the 70s. He was one of the first independent builders. Then, I discover Dan Crary and Mossman guitars.

A few days back there was a discussion about the make of guitar in a video. Terry suggested it was a David Russel Young. I went through my library for Young's book and Terry was spot on. It was indeed a Young guitar no doubt. Bet that guitar is worth a bit. Uh, you may want to go back to that thread and see who it was that correctly identified the guitar. Just sayin’. Page 3. Dream Guitars has one for sale listed at $30,000.

We quit paying taxes in 1999. And since we collect SS from accounts of dead people, we figure that is tax free, too. The hard part is remembering the aliases and the accents if there is a phone call. Pretty day in the neighborhood. Hey LJ buddy. Remember that $5000 I lent you. I don’t believe we have met. You may have dealt with Monte Crumpets. I shall alert him.

Stephen Schwartz made up the term "blue corn moon" for Pocahontas' song "Colors of the Wind" because he "liked the sound of it”, according to the extensive research I have done using Bing & Google. He has a poetic license and he isn’t afraid to use it. Sit back and enjoy the tune and put your uptight ways to the side. After all, did you ever see a rama lama ding dong?
Now, down in Muskrat Hollar, Blue Corn Moon refers to a sour mash made from blue corn. It is especially strong and Uncle Zeb has howled at the moon after drinking a jar or two. He has howled at a lot of stuff.

Looks like a lovely day. Sunny, clear, and it may hit 80 today. Enjoy. The strings will be in the last place you look, Marty, so look there first. 9 more cast days and counting.
