Yep.
She was a young cat of the streets when we got her and there was no changing her, or desire to on our part According to person that called animal police on her, she had been seen around the neighborhood for the entire summer and was a verified stray. According the vet, she had had a batch of kittens.
(she doesn't eat the rabbits, she tries bring them into the house so we can eat them. She has a special meow that let's us know when she is bringing us food. Twice she made it in with her catch, which she let them go so that we could get our, in her opinion, needed practice with catching live prey. Fortunately, baby rabbits are easy to catch.)
I've never had an indoor-only cat. A dozen or so outdoor only. And three combo-cats.

Our cat is a rescue cat from the local humane society. They knocked $25 oft their normal adoption fee because she had just been returned by her previous adopters, so we got a spayed cat with all her shots for only $25. (the first week she came close to getting returned again, but then settled down and has become a great cat ((and a tremendous rabbit hunter, most of which she is intent on delivering to us))

Near as I can tell, the few times Walz has said he carried a gun while deployed during a war (or however he said it) was in the context of a speech or talk about the need for enhanced gun control legislation.
I think that context matters. I think the context implies that he wasn't bragging about his bravery or stealing valor, I think he was trying to establish his position/point of view/creds on a touchy subject, as in (my translation of his intent follows):
"I believe we need stronger gun control laws, NOT BECAUSE I'M SOME NAMBY PAMBY GIRLY GUN HATER THAT HATES GUNS. I HUNT AND KILL ANIMALS AND I CARRIED A GUN WHILE SERVING OVERSEAS. NO, GIRLY WUS I, I'M A MAN'S MAN WHO LIKES AND USES GUNS IN THE SITUATIONS THAT CALL FOR GUNS. BUT WE NEED TO GET GUNS OFF OUR STREETS BECAUSE GUNS DON'T BELONG ON THE STREETS, THEY BELONG IN THE WOODS AND IN WAR, MAN THINGS, GOOD MAN THINGS, NOT THE BAD MAN THINGS."
When a person advocating for gun control says things like, "Hey, I like to hunt and fire bullets at stuff, too", that isn't bragging as much as it is trying to establish a connection with the people that need to be convinced, (not the people who are already convinced). They are saying "Hey, I'm a manly man, too. But, manly men understand that getting guns off the streets and out of hands of confused kids is smart man policy, not wussy girly policy. And, for the record, I like plaid flannel shirts and Wolverine boots. I only wear this damn suit when I have to."

You just typecast an entire state and its members (several here) as being elite, arrogant, and indifferent to others. And this broad character analysis of yours is all based on what? That the state passed some bills you don't approve of or has cast its electoral votes for a candidate you didn't approve of?
And then you whine if it gets pushback?
You were just trying to score some points in a political argument. Which is fine. And those points were, or should have been, understood as just that and not requiring an explanation that Minnesota really wasn't the simple, argument-serving, caricature you portrayed it as.
I was just disappointed that a clarification to a post that required none and wanted none was offered. And that is what I said and why I posted.

Morning!
Feeling some Fall in the air. It got down to 50 last night. Had to grab an extra blanket... and Casper. Tonight will drop down to the mid-40s (I hope someone's camper has a heater in it. Or extra blankets and a dog.)
High today will be in the mid to upper 60s. But, tomorrow we will get back into the 70s again for the remainder of the week.
I survived the photo tour of my colon, and lower main street passed the inspection with flying colors. A relief after the crazy ride last year's camera work sent me off on. All my Docs have now cleared me as good to go and left my medical calendar completely and blessedly empty (but, they do want to do another photo tour in three years, instead of ten or whatever. Lucky me.)

Did the math. The White Sox have 47 games left. If they win 46 of them, and if Cleveland goes on a 47 game losing streak, and if the Twins and KC go on a 43 game losing streak, and Detroit loses 35 of its next 47, Chicago wins the division!
