Best wishes LJ, it's going to be a long painful process. Then again there buddy you could forget about the stem cell and old bones crap and opt for a quick peg leg and eyepatch. Then I would have to buy a parrot and they can be a real pain.

It was a lot to take in. The ankle is continuing to deteriorate so doing nothing is really not an option. I will do what I have to and get through it the best I can. I was surprised at the bone segments from cadavers part, but once he started taking about pounding metal rods up through my foot to join the foot to the tibia, I sort of forgot about dead guy bones. Then, when he got to the part about harvesting stem cells from near my knee to transplant to the ankle, I just sort of went on autopilot. I told Barb this morning, wow, I had the strangest dream. No, she said, we were actually there in the office for that. Good luck LJ. It sounds like it's going to be painful no matter what in the short term. I imagine so. I have pretty intense pain 24/7 now, the surgical pain may be another ball game. It should subside and go away over time, which would be an improvement over what I have now. Barb corrected me. He said rod, not rods, through the foot. Whew! That’s a relief!

We met with the orthopedic specialist yesterday. This surgery is going to be intense. There is too much too type but stem cells, removal of lots of arthritic bone, completely moving the foot to the proper location, implants of bone from cadavers, metal rods, 8 weeks of a cast,6 weeks of a boot, and physical therapy are all part of the scenario. It’s a lot to absorb, but we are tentatively scheduled for March 15. Foggy here. Cool, too. Thank God we are 875 feet above sea level. And the sea is 1000 miles away.

Back when I was guitar crazy, I picked up a Flammang 000-SR and Bourgeois Countryman. Both great guitars, but, as my Taylor Swift edition Taylor blows them out of the water, they just don't get played much. Do you have the glitter model? It looks so cool on stage.

Sorry Marty. I have been there and it is not an easy task. It may be the right thing to do, but that doesn’t make it easy.

My start word is top secret. It is in a lockbox at the First Third Fourth Fifth Bank on the corner of Main and Summit. No one sees it but me.

So, how does that work? When you stop at a light and it shuts down, does it automatically start when you press the accelerator pedal? It starts when you lift your foot off the brake. It’s all controlled through the brake pedal.

The newspaper published a list of the 800 registered sex offenders in Lake and Porter Counties. Women, while in the minority, are strongly represented. A great many are child molesters or child porn offenders. Now, that was a cheerful read as I had my coffee. Remember when we thought the internet would be a welcome source of valuable information? Seems like yesterday.

My car has the start/stop feature. It bothered me for a couple days but now I don’t notice it. The model that came out the year after mine has a switch so you can disable the feature if you want. I don’t know how much gas it saves but I am so used to it I don’t even notice it.

Looks rainy. I am hobbling today. Weather, maybe. I see the orthopedic carver tomorrow to formulate plans. I am sure I can trust a guy who works for a place called Ankles-R-Us. Maybe I will have Marty talk him through an ankle drop fill. Life ambles on.

But they didn't bat an eye when Drlj ordered the squirrel burger because he's a regular customer. I actually ordered a squirrel tenderloin. It’s amazing how big those things are after a good pounding.

Whilst dining with LJ, I ordered a burger with peanut butter, jalapeños, cheddar and bacon. Apparently I was the first person to order PB off the condiment list. It was delicious. And i repeat, Bru Burger is awesome. I’ve had a couple of the burgers off that menu and loved them. The waitress was astounded and asked for clarification from John & the kitchen before putting in the order. I thought she might have John sign a waiver, but she finally brought the order.

The one thing I neglected to mention is the song is about smuggling pot. Maybe theme influences tempo. This is her 2nd song about pot. Dooley’s Farm is the other one. Billy Strings could be a bigger influence on her than I thought.

I can’t believe Schoop’s or Miner-Dunn, both homes to the world famous Region smashburgers, did not make the list. A travesty! Smashburgers are plump, juicy burgers with thin, crispy edges. Divine! There is even a smashburger restaurant called The Region in Chicago that pays tribute to The Region(Northwest Indiana) and our famous burgers. www.schoophamburgers.com/www.theregionburgers.com/
