She has always been pretty eclectic and she is not above performing something she likes that isn’t Bluegrass, but she is deeply rooted in Bluegrass and has been all her life. I think she just loves music and she is a formidable talent. She is the real deal.

They are fast and smooth as silk. What an amazing group of young musicians. That is from her newest CD.****It’s called City of Gold.
****Or whatever it is. Maybe it’s streaming, or beaming, or vinyl spinning, or Spotifying, Pandoraing or however young people listen to music these days.

It was at House of Lewis, a hip fashionable boutique and it was done a couple days before the one & only tour with Blind Faith took place shortly after the breakup of Cream in 1969. This is according to WTTW News.

I once spent an hour looking for my glasses and they were in my pocket.

I was told they don't do the commision thing. Now, it was Casper that told me that, but he's usually pretty informed about stuff. Now that you mention it, I was told that, too. They must simply feel the need to carry customer satisfaction to the highest level. All things considered, it’s a cool place & anything I order is on my doorstep the next day.

"Bugger off !" (I'm very sensitive to commercial entities bombarding me with phone calls and texts.) Commie! I am on my 2nd Sweetwater Friend/Advisor. The first guy never called. I would order something & I might get an email saying thanks, which was all I expected. He is no longer there and the new guy must have me on speed dial. I don’t answer the calls, but he will leave a message saying, If you need something you can order it so let me know! Well, d’uh! That’s how business works. If I need a loaf of bread, I go to the store, but the baker never calls and says, hey, how’s the bread situation? Do you need a loaf of rye? C’mon over and I will bake you a few. I think Sweetwater, a place I really like, does tend to go a bit overboard in the personal contact category. This tells me commission is king.

I never heard of this guy and that is not a negative thing. I find music like this unbelievably annoying. I am amazed that anyone would listen to that by choice. ugh!🤢🤢🤢 I guess it’s good for an elevator ride to the 3rd floor.

I just got one bag. I only ordered a Fishman Power Tap Earth. I'll leave the candy out for Sue when she gets back from her ladies trip. I find it annoying that I get a phone call from my personal Sweetwater Rep every time I order something. I'm happy with the company. I'm happy with the products. I'm happy with the candy. But don't call me up on the phone ! What a grump! Here the guy is trying to establish a friendly, buddy-type relationship with you and your wallet, and are you grateful? No! You only got one bag of candy so you harshly reject his love and friendship. Oh, ‘it’s a sad life the lonely curmudgeon lives. And candy-less, too.

I am sure when Eric learns how you feel he will mend his ways.
I saw the Kingston Trio at an outdoor mall in Calumet City, IL back in the 80s. They were set up in the middle of the mall, outside, playing Tom Dooley as crowds of shoppers trudged by. I found it kind of sad. Maybe they got free jeans or coffee beans.

You can tell by the look on their faces that they are wondering just what the hell went wrong with their flight.

I got to meet Bruce Roper, thanks to Marshall, at the Guitar Summit. Nice guy. I may call him to see about having a few adjustments done on a couple guitars. I will repeatedly drop Marshall’s name, too.

And LJ, I’m worthless as far as scotch goes. Bourbon, well, that’s another story. Mike Wordle 826 4/6 ⬜⬜🟨🟨⬜ 🟨🟩⬜⬜⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 He had a couple bourbons, too, but scotch seemed to be the big interest grabber. I was out of my league with that stuff.

Long day yesterday but it ended with a neighborhood block party. One neighbor owns 5 Culver’s in Northwest IN, so he provided all the food. Pot roast sliders, chicken sandwiches, salad, and 3 types of frozen custard with a table full of toppings. It was a great way to end the day. I kept thinking I would look up and see Bill Hammond at the food table. Another neighbor had a bar set up with 5 types of Scotch, 3 types of beer, and many other spirits. The scotch selection was very popular with several of the guys. I was wishing Mike Wonder was there to explain it all to me. It was all very good and it was nice getting together with all the neighbors to catch up on what’s going on. I needed that. Today looks quiet and peaceful. Enjoy.

Scan done, breakfast eaten, and back home. I meet with the orthopedic specialist next week to discuss it all. Meanwhile, 14 day heart monitor will be strapped on in about a week so we can see what it shows. Fun times.
